Parking at Nixon Beach, Apple Canyon Lake on Friday:
Parking will be available near the corner of S. Apple Canyon Road and Eisenhower Drive. Do not park along the sides of Eisenhower Drive. Shuttles will be available to transport from the parking area to Nixon Beach. Registration will be located at the Beach House at Nixon Beach.

Parking at Nixon Beach, Apple Canyon Lake on Saturday:
There will be two parking areas at Nixon Beach on race day.

Park in Lot A: If you plan to leave after the last triathlete has left Nixon Beach. Parking Lot A is located near the corner of S. Apple Canyon Road and Eisenhower Drive.

Park in Lot B: If you plan to leave after the last duathlete is off the first run course and on the bike course. Parking lot B is located near the corner of S. Apple Canyon Road and Pierce Court.

Parking at Recreation Park, Galena on Saturday:
Extremely limited parking will be available at Recreation Park. Vehicles will only be able to enter the Recreation Park parking lot prior to the race starting. Vehicles parked at Recreation Park will NOT be able to leave the parking area until the race is finished. Participants wishing to leave early or have the flexibility to leave when desired, should NOT park at Recreation Park. Park in a remote parking lot (see Remote Parking Lot below information and fee) and take a free shuttle to Recreation Park.

Parking at the Remote Parking Lot:
Remote parking will be available at the Old Train Depot Visitor Information Center lot (101 Bouthillier St.). The city of Galena owns this lot. All vehicles parked in the lot from 9 a.m.-5 p.m. must pay a $3 parking fee. All vehicles parked in the lot (or the grass overflow areas) after 9 a.m. (regardless of the time of arrival) will be subject to the fee. There will be parking attendants at the entrance of the lot to take payment and hand out a parking ticket that must be displayed on the dashboard inside the front window of each vehicle. All vehicles failing to display proof of payment are subject to ticketing by the City of Galena As a courtesy to the attendant and to be ensured a ticket please have three $1 bills ready.

Directions to Remote Parking Lot
Old Train Depot Visitor Information Center Remote Parking Lot (101 Bouthillier Street):

From the East: Travel west on Hwy. 20 to Park Avenue. Turn right onto Park Avenue. Travel one block and turn left onto Bouthillier Street. Cross the railroad tracks and turn left into the parking area.

From the West: Travel east on Hwy. 20 across the bridge over the Galena River. Turn left onto Park Avenue. Travel one block and turn left onto Bouthillier Street. Cross the railroad tracks and turn left into the parking area.

Shuttle
Park in remote parking (see above Remote Parking Lot for information and fee) and take a free shuttle. Shuttles will transport athletes and spectators. Shuttles will run according to the schedule below. There is no guarantee of shuttle arrival or departure times. Plan ahead and take the earliest shuttle possible. Bikes and pets are not allowed on shuttles.

6:00 a.m. - 7:30 a.m.
Shuttles will depart from remote parking lot in Galena and shuttle to the Lake. Shuttles will stop briefly at Recreation Park. Athletes disembarking at Recreation Park should take all belongings off bus. Buses will immediately load with waiting athletes and depart for Apple Canyon Lake. Take the earliest shuttle possible. Shuttle buses will not leave at specific times; instead, shuttles will leave for Apple Canyon Lake as they are filled.

9:00 a.m. - 3:00 p.m.
Shuttle will run between remote parking lot and Recreation Park.

Noon, 12:30 p.m., 1:30 p.m., 2:00 p.m. and 3:00 p.m.
Shuttle will run from Recreation Park to Apple Canyon Lake (one-way)

Shuttles will also be available to transport spectators from Apple Canyon Lake to Recreation Park after the last athlete has left Nixon Beach and is on the bike route.
